Real Mom Story: Lindsay and Chase

Every mom’s feeding experience is as unique as her baby. While the journey may be easy for some, others may struggle with many issues. Real Mom Story is a series on our blog where we ask real moms to share their feeding stories. Being a mom can be difficult at times for anyone. Whether you’re expecting or already have little one, we hope these stories can offer you advice on what worked (or didn’t work) for moms just like you. Today, we will be sharing Lindsay and Chase’s story!

How did you first hear about Kabrita?

I learned about Kabrita through a friend and fellow mom. When Chase was 7.5 months, he decided he was completely finished with nursing. He just did not want to do it anymore, so I began feeding him a combination formula and pumped breast milk. Now at 10 months old, we are exclusively using Kabrita and love it!

Please describe why you decided to switch. Why did Kabrita seem like a good solution?

The need to switch to exclusively using formula started when I had to stop pumping for various reasons when Chase was around 8.5 months. We had been using Kabrita for a while and so it was an easy choice to stick with it. I was so happy to find a goat milk formula produced in the Netherlands using milk from humanely raised goats. I had read various studies and articles that pointed to the benefits of using goat milk over cows milk, and I felt it offered the most nutritious option for my baby. Plus, Chase loves it!

How did Chase transition to Kabrita?

Chase loved it from the first bottle!

What do you think of Kabrita’s taste and smell?

I find it very comparable to breastmilk. Mild with a little hint of sweetness.

Did you have a certain perception of what a goat milk formula would taste like prior to Kabrita?

Honestly no!

Is there anything else you’d like to add or share about your experience?

I’ve also found Kabrita such a great company to turn to for information and research. They’ve always provided me with great service and quality answers to all my questions.

KABRITA Goat Milk Formula is an excellent alternative to cow’s milk when it comes time to supplement breastfeeding and/or wean your baby. Goat’s milk protein forms a softer, smaller and looser curd in the stomach, and is broken down more quickly than cow’s milk protein, making it naturally easy to digest.
