Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a Chiropractor, Upledger Certified Craniosacral Therapist, and Foundation Training instructor in practice for 7.5 years and I work at Integrative Wellness Group in Belmar, New Jersey. My passion is helping families have the pregnancy and birth experience they want and deserve, and I have developed a holistic pregnancy consulting program to achieve that.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Being able to help families have a happy, healthy pregnancy to bring a happy, healthy baby into the world is extremely rewarding itself. Also, receiving cards, thank yous, pictures, and hugs from them all are the greatest reward.
What skills have you developed to become a successful practitioner?
It comes down to passion and purpose. I genuinely enjoy learning about perinatal health and know that I have been called to work with this population. I firmly believe that continuing to learn and grow has helped me immensely to guide families along this beautiful journey. My consulting program grew from hearing that too many parents were not feeling supported by their other providers, so actively listening to patients has also been pivotal.
If you could go back in time to when you first started practicing and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
Be confident in your knowledge base and don’t allow outsiders to influence your path negatively. Acknowledge your passion and follow your heart every day.
What strategies or tools help you to manage work-life balance better?
Self-care! You must be healthy and in balance to help set an example for the community as well as maintain the ability to take care of them.
Why do you value Kabrita goat milk formula?
The commitment to quality is paramount. The fact that Kabrita has been independently tested and shown to be Glyphosate free allows me to trust Kabrita as a brand and company.
How or when do you use Kabrita in your practice?
There are a few ways I use Kabrita within the practice. If there are parents that describe skin irritations, digestive issues, bowel movement concerns, general irritability, excessive spitting up, or want to transition to a high-quality formula, then I offer Kabrita. Also, if our testing shows that a baby’s system is not responding to cow’s milk, among other lower quality ingredients in other brands, Kabrita is the top choice.
How do patients generally respond to Kabrita?
Patients typically respond quickly to Kabrita, which is an excellent feeling for parents. There have been cases of a baby experiencing eczema, irritability, constipation, and colic, and within a few short days of switching to Kabrita, they notice significant improvement.
What feedback do you get from parents after recommending Kabrita?
They are grateful for the recommendation of Kabrita, as they now have a high-quality product to help their children thrive in conjunction with breastfeeding. At times, they are surprised at how quickly they notice a change, which is always great to hear.
If you weren’t a healthcare provider, what would you be?
If I were not a health care provider, I would work with food in some capacity. I love to cook, find great things at the farmer’s markets, and explore new ingredients that can also be healing to the body.
