How did you first hear of Kabrita?
I first heard of Kabrita from a Facebook group of women who shared similar struggles like me with transitioning from breast milk to formula for either full time need or supplementing. I was so nervous to do the switch but knew it needed to be done. Enter: Kabrita!
Why did your family have a need for goat milk formula?
I actually first heard of feeding babies goat's milk from my mother-in-law who struggled to breastfeed and fed her 3 children goat's milk. With guidance from another friend who is just as passionate about nutrition, she informed me that goat's milk is easier to digest and is most similar to breast milk. I knew I wanted that to be my foundation in a formula. After narrowing my search down, I knew Kabrita was the one for our family.
If related to symptoms being experienced by your child, can you describe them? And also describe how drinking Kabrita may have helped with those?
We were fortunate enough not to have any allergies or symptoms regarding any formula and didn't experience much of a difficulty transitioning.
If related to your need to supplement with or switch to formula, please describe why you chose to do so and why Kabrita seemed like a good solution?
My twins were 8 months old when I noticed my supply starting to lessen. I tried everything from eating more, power pumping, teas, herbs and more but I just knew that my body was tired and giving up. I knew I needed help because I could give some breastmilk, just not a full bottle at every feeding. After much research, trial and comparison, all signs pointed to Kabrita. If I was in a pinch on controlling inventory, I knew Whole Foods had it and sometimes on sale too which I would then stock up. I can always find relatively good deals on pricing online. More importantly, I loved everything I was reading and experiencing with Kabrita's formula. Even the scooping ratio to water was easy as it is 1:1! Many times I need to give just one more ounce and it is easy to figure out instead of estimating by the half scoop. The tub too comes with a leveler so it's easy to scoop and level off unlike leading competitors expect you to use your finger which I don’t find sanitary. Even though I was genuinely sad to not be able to produce as much breast milk, I felt so comfortable knowing that Kabrita would help supplement in the best way possible.
Did the ‘European quality’ element have an influence in your decision to try Kabrita?
I had heard of other European brands and their quality and standards were much different than the USA. It is a known fact that they have high standards when it comes to their quality of products. This is something I take seriously and was happy to know that a company felt the same way! After all, we are feeding babies here! It's very easy to search for many American and European brands and see the difference and standards between the two.
How did your child take/transition to Kabrita?
I think the reason why my children took so well to Kabrita is because the taste is so good and it had to have felt very similar to them compared to my natural breast milk. They get so excited when they see me making it and it warms my heart knowing that they genuinely like it!
What is your favourite thing about Kabrita Formula?
I have many favorite things about this company for the simple fact that they have been easy to access and speak to someone regarding any extra questions I had. That's amazing to have such immediate support like that! Also, this formula is the only formula I've seen in the American market to be glyphosate free! I cannot stress enough how serious we need companies to provide transparency with the products we feed our families. We are what we eat and if we are blessed enough to get the best possible, then get Kabrita.
